One of the major focuses in this laboratory is to establish innovative measuring techniques for different parameters like flame emissivity, temperature, gas velocity, safety distances, heat flux to bodies in stand-alone and multiple pool fires. Few of the facilities and research focuses being created includes CMM, Optical microscopes and metallurgical investigations, High Speed Camera, Thermal Imaging Camera, High Temperature measurement, Online force measurement system, In‑situ measurement of deformation processes, Process Analysis through Finite Element and other analysis techniques etc.
